Rafael Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Rinaldi in the 8th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fabiano Tatangelo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Martino saved Club Sportivo Italiano from getting behind. 17 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Tatangelo came free, but Rafael Martino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferruccio Rinaldi in the 20th minute of the match. Rafael Martino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldo Ubriaco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Ubriaco took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael Martino. Rafael Martino dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 27 minutes, Ceferino Blasco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Sportivo Italiano and the Gladiator FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ceferino Blasco hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Rafael Martino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo Ubriaco in the 29th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabiano Tatangelo in the 31st minute of play forced Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goal looked a bit too open when Ferruccio Rinaldi came free, but Rafael Martino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Ferruccio Rinaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rafael Martino showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Ubriaco in the 37th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Gladiator FC's goalkeeper Angelo Marchegiani had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Senio. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aldo Ubriaco in the 43rd minute of play. Rafael Martino came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Gladiator FC's Fulvio Di Prinzio. But to his dismay, Fulvio Di Prinzio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Fermin Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Angelo Marchegiani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fabiano Tatangelo to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fabiano Tatangelo in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rafael Martino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Gladiator FC's zone, Octavio Senio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Angelo Marchegiani came out of the goal and Octavio Senio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amedeo Orlandi charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amedeo Orlandi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Sportivo Italiano booed when Gladiator FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amedeo Orlandi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Elvio Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Marchegiani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the match, Club Sportivo Italiano's goalkeeper Rafael Martino had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aldo Ubriaco. Rafael Martino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferruccio Rinaldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Segundo Urtun got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 78 minutes of play, Club Sportivo Italiano's Elvio Machado made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelo Marchegiani was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gladiator FC's Fabiano Tatangelo got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Gladiator FC's Eraldo Taglieri got a free kick in the 85th minute. Rafael Martino was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Fulvio Di Prinzio capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Fulvio Di Prinzio really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Club Sportivo Italiano's Rafael Martino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Club Sportivo Italiano from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Gladiator FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
