After 7 minutes, Daniël Rijkaard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ASV Muziekwijk and the SV Klingsmoos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Daniël Rijkaard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the game, Cobus van Zeijl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ASV Muziekwijk's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Klingsmoos the free kick. In the 9th minute Loy Berns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Harold Wander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacco Dowie charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacco Dowie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Uwe Neudorf during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Pim Haremeijer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Udo Gellrich made a huge save. A collision led to ASV Muziekwijk getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jelte de Jong hit a great ball. Jelte de Jong charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jelte de Jong the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, ASV Muziekwijk's Jelte de Jong got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the game, Filip Koekkoek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Udo Gellrich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee felt a red card was in order, 37 minutes into the game, when Samuel Merz put in a rough tackle. After 37 played minutes SV Klingsmoos got a freekick which was hit by Samuel Merz. A collision led to SV Klingsmoos getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Orlando Zettler hit a great ball. Udo Gellrich acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 39th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Pim Haremeijer. Pim Haremeijer struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Udo Gellrich didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASV Muziekwijk. SV Klingsmoos's Udo Gellrich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filip Koekkoek in the 44th minute of play. SV Klingsmoos's Udo Gellrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save SV Klingsmoos from getting a goal against them. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ephraim Stübgen to make the kick off. With a little luck, ASV Muziekwijk's Harold Wander got control of the ball when Loy Berns tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nick Post in the 56th minute of play forced SV Klingsmoos's goalkeeper Udo Gellrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th match minute, SV Klingsmoos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henning Paula to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute, Filip Koekkoek ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Udo Gellrich was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in SV Klingsmoos's zone, Pim Haremeijer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Udo Gellrich came out of the goal and Pim Haremeijer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Koekkoek in the 64th minute of play forced SV Klingsmoos's goalkeeper Udo Gellrich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to SV Klingsmoos getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Orlando Zettler hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, ASV Muziekwijk's Cobus van Zeijl got a free kick in the 69th minute. 78 minutes into the match, SV Klingsmoos's goal looked a bit too open when Filip Koekkoek came free, but Udo Gellrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Udo Gellrich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filip Koekkoek in the 86th minute of the match. In the 91st minute Filip Koekkoek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Udo Gellrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. ASV Muziekwijk fully deserved thier win.
