The coaching staff of Irreal Madrid protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Geovanni Pinho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 16th minute of the game. One of Irreal Madrid:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dorking United FC:s goal. Túlio Maranhense's late challenge caught a Dorking United FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irreal Madrid's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wiliam Moraes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Lowndes to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Irreal Madrid's Luiz Eduardo Godoi got a free kick in the 54th minute. David Lowndes charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Dorking United FC's Clive Blake proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Dorking United FC from getting a goal against them. Luiz Eduardo Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luiz Eduardo Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Clive Blake. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luiz Eduardo Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. For all the effort they put into the match, the Irreal Madrid players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dorking United FC.
