In the 5th match minute, Lemel SV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dries Teunisse to maneuver through the defense. Roosevelt Guthrie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Reinhard Braamhaar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lemel SV's goalkeeper Olivier Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Lemel SV booed when El Canalla de Chicago was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kent Carney didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olivier Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Scott Souza in the 19th minute of the match. El Canalla de Chicago were furious when Kasey Frederick was red carded, 21 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 20 minutes into the game, one of El Canalla de Chicago:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. El Canalla de Chicago:s Roosevelt Guthrie showed great skill when he stopped Leon Reiling:s penalty. 23 minutes into the game, Leon Reiling cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Roosevelt Guthrie was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 29th minute Pieter den Hartog shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roosevelt Guthrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Reiling hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, El Canalla de Chicago's Shawn Reyna tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Hans Degeling kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Scott Souza made the kick off in the second half. Roosevelt Guthrie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pieter den Hartog in the 55th minute. Olivier Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Carney in the 58th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, El Canalla de Chicago's Kent Carney made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Olivier Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roosevelt Guthrie was a little too slow when Pieter den Hartog got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. Scott Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olivier Kahn having to interfere. Kent Carney hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Scott Souza in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olivier Kahn prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 84 minutes into the match, Kent Carney notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Lemel SV's Olivier Kahn. Olivier Kahn was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 87 minutes into the game, Sjoerd Bosschaart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Canalla de Chicago the free kick. The supporters of El Canalla de Chicago booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sjoerd Bosschaart didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Shawn Reyna sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Lemel SV's Olivier Kahn didn't even have to move. With a little luck, El Canalla de Chicago's Roosevelt Guthrie got control of the ball when Pieter den Hartog tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 91st minute Sjoerd Bosschaart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roosevelt Guthrie saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92 played minutes El Canalla de Chicago got a freekick which was hit by Leo Finn. After a defensive mix-up in El Canalla de Chicago's zone, Reinhard Braamhaar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roosevelt Guthrie came out of the goal and Reinhard Braamhaar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th match minute, El Canalla de Chicago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Finn to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
