Spectators: 7828 (Terracing: 5872, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 156) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Anacleto Maore started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anacleto Maore. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedito Trancoso during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Trancoso. Orlando Leoiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Vítor Rodrigues in the 15th minute of play. Leonardo Jaume kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Orlando Leoiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Vítor Rodrigues in the 18th minute of the match. In the 18th match minute, Equipo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonardo Jaume to maneuver through the defense. Patricio Baudelio kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Independente FC's Nestor Quintal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Independente FC from getting a goal against them. Florentino Eufemio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Nestor Quintal made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orlando Leoiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Independente FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Ezequiel Goi scored to the left of an out of position Nestor Quintal, making the score, 2-0. Ezequiel Goi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nestor Quintal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Equipo's Orlando Leoiar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos de Azevedo in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zé Carlos de Azevedo was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anacleto Maore in the 51st minute of play forced Independente FC's goalkeeper Nestor Quintal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Inácio Pinheiro got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute Ezequiel Goi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Vítor Rodrigues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orlando Leoiar having to interfere. Germano Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 68 minutes, Florentino Eufemio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Equipo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Florentino Eufemio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anacleto Maore came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute Ezequiel Goi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nestor Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ezequiel Goi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Raul Frantzes hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. When Anacleto Maore fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Equipo's protests and gave Anacleto Maore a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Independente FC booed when Equipo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anacleto Maore didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Independente FC's Inácio Pinheiro got a free kick in the 81st minute. Nestor Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Eufemio in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute Equipo were awarded a corner. Marcos Rutenio went to the cornerflag to take it. Orlando Leoiar made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Rodrigues in the 85th minute. Equipo's Florentino Eufemio got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nestor Quintal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florentino Eufemio in the 93rd minute of the match. After 94 played minutes Equipo got a freekick which was hit by Raul Frantzes. In the 95th minute of the match Benedito Trancoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Orlando Leoiar skillfully saved the ball.
