The audience was convinced that Rob Lode's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arrigo Del Grosso was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Arrigo Del Grosso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rob Lode in the 11th minute of play. Fortunato Malvezzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jem Chlebek having to make a save. 16 minutes into the game, Fortunato Malvezzi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jem Chlebek. Fortunato Malvezzi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Jem Chlebek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Rago in the 24th minute of play. Frank Rago's late challenge caught a PAIDAGOGOS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ferruccio Ascani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jem Chlebek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Duri come il marmo got a freekick which was hit by Fortunato Malvezzi. Jem Chlebek made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Rago in the 44th minute. 46 minutes into the match, PAIDAGOGOS's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Rago came free, but Jem Chlebek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Malvezzi in the 47th minute of play forced PAIDAGOGOS's goalkeeper Jem Chlebek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fulvio Di Crescenzo was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in PAIDAGOGOS's zone, Fortunato Malvezzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jem Chlebek came out of the goal and Fortunato Malvezzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 61st minute, Anfilogino Giammarino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ferdinando Napoleone charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ferdinando Napoleone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ferdinando Napoleone hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Duri come il marmo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
