The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Merlin Tian shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arrigo Del Grosso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 5 minutes into the match, Duri come il marmo's goal looked a bit too open when Merlin Tian came free, but Arrigo Del Grosso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Duri come il marmo defense, Merlin Tian kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arrigo Del Grosso. The Duri come il marmo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arrigo Del Grosso should have stopped the shot. Danish Henderson struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Arrigo Del Grosso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakham. Arrigo Del Grosso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iskandar Laycock, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fulvio Di Crescenzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Seah having to interfere. Arrigo Del Grosso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iskandar Laycock in the 19th minute of the match. Daniel Seah was a little too slow when Fulvio Di Crescenzo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciro Tosi during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Duri come il marmo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciro Tosi to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match Asiz Koh sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arrigo Del Grosso skillfully saved the ball. Iskandar Laycock kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 40 minutes, Iskandar Laycock made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Arrigo Del Grosso, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Duri come il marmo's Frank Rago got a free kick in the 56th minute. Frank Rago recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Attilio Feliziani kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Duri come il marmo's Emiliano Pietrantoni was substituted for Ferruccio Ascani. A collision led to Duri come il marmo getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Attilio Feliziani hit a great ball. Ang Seng missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 68 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Arrigo Del Grosso right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iskandar Laycock in the 70th minute of play forced Duri come il marmo's goalkeeper Arrigo Del Grosso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Oakham booed when Duri come il marmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Rago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asiz Koh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Arrigo Del Grosso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The corner ended in Attilio Feliziani almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Oakham's Daniel Seah did a great save. Fulvio Di Crescenzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Daniel Seah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fulvio Di Crescenzo ran back to his position shaking his head.
