The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Douglas Käcker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 17 played minutes BK Nerysminne got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Hernström. The Nagyváradi AC fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when Nagyváradi AC's László Solti looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. BK Nerysminne's Douglas Käcker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Károly Kovács in the 20th minute of play. A collision led to Nagyváradi AC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. István Márkus hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, BK Nerysminne's goal looked a bit too open when Ede Szily came free, but Douglas Käcker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Douglas Käcker stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Károly Kovács's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nagyváradi AC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
