In the 80th minute, Filip Marud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Simon Slater was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-2. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Filip Marud put it in 6-2 from a short distance just to the right of Simon Slater. Leicester Lions's Simon Slater played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radowit Poteralski in the 94th minute of play. After 96 played minutes, Fortuna 86 Szczecin's Zula Walentowicz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Simon Slater came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Fortuna 86 Szczecin reached it. Leicester Lions's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
