C.A Huracan's Blas Senio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cícero Ribeiro in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Edmílson Coelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Pombal 2003 F.C. booed when C.A Huracan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aquiles Blasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duarte Pontes during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 31 played minutes C.A Huracan got a freekick which was hit by Joaquin Lluciano. Edmílson Coelho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blas Senio having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Lucila in the 35th minute of play forced Pombal 2003 F.C.'s goalkeeper Gilson Arósio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Pombal 2003 F.C.'s Toninho Duarte got a free kick in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edmílson Coelho was the one to do the kick off. Aquiles Blasco hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After 54 played minutes Pombal 2003 F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Toninho Duarte. Gilson Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Francis, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Joaquin Lluciano kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, C.A Huracan's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Ribeiro came free, but Blas Senio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gregorio Velasco fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored C.A Huracan's protests and gave Gregorio Velasco a yellow card for diving instead. Gregorio Velasco kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Cícero Ribeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Blas Senio having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, C.A Huracan's Delmiro Francis made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. The referee ordered Duarte Pontes off the ground. A collision led to Pombal 2003 F.C. getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Duarte Pontes hit a great ball. A hard shot by Aquiles Blasco from long distance, 97 minutes into the match, got Gilson Arósio's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side.
