Spectators: 7787 (Terracing: 5841, Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 155) Lars-Erik Björk made the kick off and thus started the match. Simon Slater didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lars-Erik Björk went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Simon Slater took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kurt Björkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 20 minutes, Michael Böcklund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Rocco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Michael Böcklund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st match minute, Leicester Lions was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Verne Silvester to maneuver through the defense. Simon Slater showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Björkman in the 23rd minute of the match. After 27 minutes, Rod Reading mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leicester Lions and the Team Rocco players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allan Bramble's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mattias Löfkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Jon Sundström charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jon Sundström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Felix Bacon's late challenge caught a Team Rocco's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Felix Bacon helped the player get up and apologised. Felix Bacon hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Leicester Lions got a freekick which was hit by Allan Bramble. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Allan Bramble was the one to do the kick off. Kurt Ståhlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th minute Verne Silvester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mattias Löfkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kurt Björkman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Simon Slater made a huge save. In the 58th minute, Jon Sundström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mattias Löfkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Wills in the 66th minute of the match. 72 minutes into the match, Team Rocco's goal looked a bit too open when Max Wills came free, but Mattias Löfkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kurt Ståhlberg fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Team Rocco's protests and gave Kurt Ståhlberg a yellow card for diving instead. Simon Slater made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Ståhlberg in the 77th minute of play. After 79 played minutes Leicester Lions got a freekick which was hit by Verne Silvester. Mattias Löfkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nathan Leyburn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 84 minutes into the match, Leicester Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Jon Sundström came free, but Simon Slater reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute Jon Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simon Slater saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Leicester Lions's Felix Bacon got a free kick in the 93rd minute.
