After 12 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Panos Mastrantoniou. 14 minutes into the game, Ronaldão Mazza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Ilias Peristeropoulos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Milanis E.C.'s Jacinto de Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thrasivoulos Moisiadis in the 18th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto das Neves came free, but Ilias Peristeropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 34 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Petros Giannakis. Ilias Peristeropoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Pombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 39th minute, Zé Carlos da Cunha left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Milanis E.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 44th minute, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Christos Banasas seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Christos Banasas the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ΠΑΟΚ FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Christos Banasas had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Ronaldão Mazza took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Ilias Peristeropoulos to make any attempt to save it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Jacinto de Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thrasivoulos Moisiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. If Zé Carlos da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Júlio Pombal in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ilias Peristeropoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Augusto das Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilias Peristeropoulos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Augusto das Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Ilias Peristeropoulos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Carlos da Cunha, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 67 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Thrasivoulos Moisiadis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jacinto de Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ilias Peristeropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Mazza in the 69th minute of play. Ian Rossi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 71 minutes into the game, Júlio Pombal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Milanis E.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΠΑΟΚ FC the free kick. Júlio Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. The supporters of Milanis E.C. booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Petros Giannakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Ilias Peristeropoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldão Mazza in the 81st minute of play. After 82 played minutes ΠΑΟΚ FC got a freekick which was hit by Alekos Korakakis. 85 minutes into the match, ΠΑΟΚ FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Pombal came free, but Ilias Peristeropoulos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Thrasivoulos Moisiadis kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacinto de Azevedo. That made the score 5-1 in the 92 minute of play. Ilias Peristeropoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Pombal in the 96th minute of play. Milanis E.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
