Spectators: 7215 (Terracing: 5890, Seating: 1200, VIP seats: 125) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Camillo Corna kicked off to start the match. Amos Galdi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A.S. Udinese's Donato Lucidi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaspar Cordarryl in the 6th minute of play. 18 minutes into the game, A.S. Udinese's Biagio Balestra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Primitivo Salomone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Biagio Balestra put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Primitivo Salomone. 26 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Donato Lucidi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernardo Romeo. After 27 played minutes A.S. Udinese got a freekick which was hit by Ciccio Braccia. Clodoveo Vellito took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 27th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donato Lucidi. A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SAN LORENZO FC's Maximino Ofelio got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 minutes, Ciccio Braccia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S. Udinese and the SAN LORENZO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ciccio Braccia hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. A.S. Udinese's Donato Lucidi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save A.S. Udinese from getting a goal against them. Gaspar Cordarryl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Donato Lucidi made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Biagio Balestra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Primitivo Salomone was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. A.S. Udinese's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Enrico De Simone in the 38th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of SAN LORENZO FC's goalie and right to Alessandro Grieco. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. SAN LORENZO FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After 39 minutes, Alessandro Grieco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the A.S. Udinese and the SAN LORENZO FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Alessandro Grieco hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. If Biagio Balestra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th match minute, A.S. Udinese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anfilogino Di Crescenzo to maneuver through the defense. Primitivo Salomone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Di Crescenzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

A.S. Udinese's Enzo Ferraro was substituted for Concetto Signori. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maximino Ofelio made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximino Ofelio in the 58th minute of play forced A.S. Udinese's goalkeeper Donato Lucidi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Lorenz during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 63rd minute, one of SAN LORENZO FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SAN LORENZO FC. A.S. Udinese's Armin Abbagnale was substituted for Biagio Balestra. Alessandro Grieco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Primitivo Salomone read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, A.S. Udinese's goal looked a bit too open when Siro Paio came free, but Donato Lucidi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Anfilogino Di Crescenzo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Donato Lucidi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Siro Paio went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Armin Abbagnale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 94 minutes into the game, Enzo Ferraro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. A.S. Udinese's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAN LORENZO FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, A.S. Udinese's Enzo Ferraro got a free kick in the 95th minute. Donato Lucidi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clodoveo Corderro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of A.S. Udinese were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant SAN LORENZO FC side.
