Márcio Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandu Bâru in the 71st minute of the match. In the 87th minute, Armando da Mata left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmeiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Călin Olăroiu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Palmeiras's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
