When Godofredo Boldu fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mesere's protests and gave Godofredo Boldu a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mesere getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Godofredo Boldu hit a great ball. Iker Simon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loren Iriarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 27 minutes into the match, Mesere's goal looked a bit too open when Juan Corredor came free, but Iker Simon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Mesere's Godofredo Boldu got a free kick in the 27th minute.
