After some careless play in the Emerald defense, Daniel Marin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Damian Vieru. The Emerald fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Damian Vieru should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Artemio Eutropio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC 1986 Vinalito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Emerald the free kick. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC 1986 Vinalito's goalkeeper Lucio Eate, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Artemio Eutropio kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Filomeno Steven's late challenge caught a Emerald's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filomeno Steven helped the player get up and apologised. Filomeno Steven hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The supporters of Emerald booed when AC 1986 Vinalito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artemio Eutropio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the game, Cristian Guguianu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lucio Eate. Cristian Guguianu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Emerald's Iacob Armanca got a free kick in the 31st minute. 33 minutes into the match, Tiziano Pirlo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Damian Vieru. Emerald's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tiziano Pirlo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Abaunza during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to AC 1986 Vinalito getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Miguel Abaunza hit a great ball. In the 38th match minute, AC 1986 Vinalito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. Tiziano Pirlo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Vieru having to interfere. In the 46th minute Tiziano Pirlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Vieru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half AC 1986 Vinalito were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tiziano Pirlo made a kick off. Tudor Frâncu kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. With a little luck, Emerald's Damian Vieru got control of the ball when Tiziano Pirlo tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 54 played minutes AC 1986 Vinalito got a freekick which was hit by Tiziano Pirlo. In the 56th minute, Cristian Guguianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 61 minutes, Adrian Scaeru mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Emerald and the AC 1986 Vinalito players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th minute, AC 1986 Vinalito's Flavio Magdaleno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Damian Vieru. Damian Vieru yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. Nistor Stanciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. AC 1986 Vinalito's Flavio Magdaleno got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Vieru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiziano Pirlo went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. AC 1986 Vinalito played a much better game than Emerald and deserved their victory. The Emerald players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
