Mikael Sjöberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th minute, Dragoş Sălcudeanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Emerald fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of No Gravity FC booed when Emerald was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusebiu Zăvoiu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 12th match minute, No Gravity FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sverker Lilja to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the game, Sorin Jitaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Emerald's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave No Gravity FC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Emerald got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Jitaru. When Ludvig Skark came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the No Gravity FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludvig Skark couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Emerald's goalkeeper Damian Vieru had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Hicham Savage. No Gravity FC were furious when Christopher Nilsson was red carded, 20 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Mikael Sjöberg had in the 22ndth minute some difficulties stopping Costin Frânculescu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Sverker Lilja sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Vieru showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Lilja, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Damian Vieru stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hicham Savage's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hicham Savage got free with Damian Vieru in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

No Gravity FC's Gert Odman was substituted for Jan-Olof Löfgren. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Guguianu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axel Ahlroht fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Vieru having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Emerald's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Ahlroht came free, but Damian Vieru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No Gravity FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Babak Savage was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Cristian Guguianu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mikael Sjöberg was relentless in the 71st minute of the game.
