The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juliusz Ptaszek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogumil Madajczyk having to make a save. Bogumil Madajczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilbert Ranowiecki in the 11th minute of play. After having played for 14 minutes, Juliusz Ptaszek managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaolin soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juliusz Ptaszek was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Bogumil Madajczyk managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Shaolin soccer's Juliusz Ptaszek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Juliusz Ptaszek fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Shaolin soccer's protests and gave Juliusz Ptaszek a yellow card for diving instead. Juliusz Ptaszek kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. After 24 played minutes Shaolin soccer got a freekick which was hit by Marek Sroki. Gilbert Ranowiecki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miroslaw Cielencki hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Shaolin soccer's Rafal Pietrowicz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ksawery Plaski in the 29th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Shaolin soccer's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski was slow to take the kick. During this time Bękarty Wojny's players had a chance to rest. Juliusz Ptaszek came free with the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bogumil Madajczyk could save by the left post. Ksawery Plaski's late challenge caught a Shaolin soccer's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ksawery Plaski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 36th minute, Ksawery Plaski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bogumil Madajczyk made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juliusz Ptaszek in the 40th minute. Juliusz Ptaszek was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filip Cetnar to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute Gilbert Ranowiecki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogumil Madajczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogumil Madajczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roch Janiczek in the 67th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match, Feliks Lichucki tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafal Pietrowicz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Shaolin soccer getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Mieszko Filipowski hit a great ball. If Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bogumil Madajczyk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Cetnar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Shaolin soccer booed when Bękarty Wojny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Kasprzak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roch Janiczek blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogumil Madajczyk having to make a save. After having played for 86 minutes, Filip Cetnar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shaolin soccer's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Cetnar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rafal Pietrowicz made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Zdzislaw Kanczuszewski sent off a good shot on target. Gilbert Ranowiecki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilbert Ranowiecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Bogumil Madajczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Feliks Lichucki lined in a short shot 0-1 behind a frustrated Rafal Pietrowicz. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bękarty Wojny eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
