Prudencio Otsoko had in the 29thth minute some difficulties stopping Carmelo Avalos's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 30 minutes of play, General Velásquez's Pere Sáenz made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. When Robustiano Policarpio fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Formentera's protests and gave Robustiano Policarpio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of General Velásquez booed when Formentera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robustiano Policarpio didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Carmelo Avalos notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Formentera's Prudencio Otsoko. Prudencio Otsoko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
