When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Ademar Matorin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Rolando Erasto to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Estudiantes de América booed when Limoeiro-PE FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durval Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lino Maestro kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lino Maestro was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ademar Matorin during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Limoeiro-PE FC's Ademar Matorin got a free kick in the 50th minute. Marciano Precioso charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marciano Precioso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jeferson Vergílio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 53rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Rolando Erasto. Estudiantes de América's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bernardo Quiroga kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Anselmo Orlan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. A collision led to Limoeiro-PE FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Durval Cavalcante hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match Eustacio Rito shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristian Brito showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Eustacio Rito had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristian Brito. Limoeiro-PE FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eustacio Rito was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Marciano Precioso was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After 95 played minutes Estudiantes de América got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Balesio. The Estudiantes de América players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Limoeiro-PE FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
