In the 19th minute, Leszek Milan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Thunderstorm Riders defense, Alfredão Mesquita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stanislaw Burowski. The Thunderstorm Riders fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stanislaw Burowski should have stopped the shot. Stanislaw Burowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredão Mesquita in the 26th minute of the match. Stanislaw Burowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredão Mesquita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leszek Milan took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rony Paiva. Rony Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Zézinho Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stanislaw Burowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zézinho Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 41st minute, Zézinho Neto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanislaw Burowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. A collision led to Sport Club Mavericks getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alexsandro Lira hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobiasz Kaszubowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 60 played minutes Sport Club Mavericks got a freekick which was hit by Alexsandro Lira. Thunderstorm Riders's Lucjan Majkowski was substituted for Damian Grabowicz. When Sport Club Mavericks's Zé Pedro Ribeiro in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 90 played minutes Thunderstorm Riders got a freekick which was hit by Roch Gdowik. In the 92nd minute Tobiasz Kaszubowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rony Paiva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
