Academica Pulheim's attack was well implemented in the 3rd minute, but when Barnabas Rogge was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. In the 10th minute, Barnabas Rogge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Academica Pulheim fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. When Fidel Bizen fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cuervos Galácticos's protests and gave Fidel Bizen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Cuervos Galácticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Bizen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Gottlieb Hagedorn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Academica Pulheim's Gunther Daun got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Benedicto Orkatz came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Academica Pulheim's Barnabas Rogge. But to his dismay, Barnabas Rogge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 31st minute Karsten Oppmann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Orkatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thilo Haupt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Benedicto Orkatz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Academica Pulheim booed when Cuervos Galácticos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernan Isadore didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Barnabas Rogge had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benedicto Orkatz. Cuervos Galácticos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Barnabas Rogge was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Oppmann in the 39th minute of play forced Cuervos Galácticos's goalkeeper Benedicto Orkatz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cuervos Galácticos booed when Academica Pulheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barnabas Rogge didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Academica Pulheim were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santos Lauren to make the kick off. Alvo Kobe came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Cuervos Galácticos's Emilio Frasquito. But to his dismay, Emilio Frasquito quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Cuervos Galácticos's Benedicto Orkatz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barnabas Rogge in the 60th minute of play. Academica Pulheim made a substitution. Hadrian Greilinger replaced Kevin Meißel. Jose Eleazar kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. If Thilo Haupt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academica Pulheim's Thomas von Puttkammer was substituted for Karsten Oppmann. When Arnd Freye fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Academica Pulheim's protests and gave Arnd Freye a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Academica Pulheim getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Arnd Freye hit a great ball. In the 81st match minute, Cuervos Galácticos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fidel Bizen to maneuver through the defense. Thilo Haupt was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 85th minute, Gunther Daun made a precise shot to the right of Benedicto Orkatz. Cuervos Galácticos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. 90 minutes into the match, Academica Pulheim's goal looked a bit too open when Santos Lauren came free, but Alvo Kobe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Academica Pulheim's Barnabas Rogge slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benedicto Orkatz. That made the score 1-6 after 92 minutes of play. Arnd Freye fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Orkatz having to interfere. Academica Pulheim's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
