After the first half Hermosillo FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Timofey Naumenko made a kick off. Cecilio Afonso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Yan Kapchenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 55 minutes, Konstantin Kiryuhin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tuareg and the Hermosillo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After some careless play in the Tuareg defense, Cecilio Afonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yan Kapchenko. The Tuareg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yan Kapchenko should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute Timofey Naumenko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvano Benat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusebio Calvet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yan Kapchenko having to interfere. Tuareg made a substitution. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hermosillo FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
