Manos Papaiakovou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Stenman in the 20th minute of play. Skene's Leonardo Ekenberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Gerasimos Kallitsis in the 26 minute of the game. Tord Thorsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nikos Moustos, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Nikos Moustos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tord Thorsberg, 1-1. With 33 minutes on the clock, Bengt-Åke Helander commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 36th minute, the referee gave Go Ahead Eagles a penalty. Panagiotis Beloukas looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Tord Thorsberg. Manos Papaiakovou showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Hagberg in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Periklis Vakalis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Stenqvist charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Tord Thorsberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giotis Kouloucheris in the 79th minute of play. The supporters of Go Ahead Eagles booed when Skene was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Ekenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 87 minutes, Panagiotis Beloukas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Go Ahead Eagles and the Skene players grew even worse after the yellow card. Go Ahead Eagles were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Skene for a fine match.
