Hungarian Olympic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Victor Steven was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rigoberto Iratze struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Ábel Barta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Les Tigres. Ábel Barta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rigoberto Iratze in the 9th minute of the match. Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by László Nemes in the 16th minute of play. Les Tigres's Rigoberto Iratze got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute László Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Ostadar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivan Tohias during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Les Tigres was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Les Tigres's Martin Ostadar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by György Király in the 38th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Hungarian Olympic got a freekick which was hit by Fábián Solti. A hard and well directed shot from Fabian Reynardo led 43 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Hungarian Olympic's Ábel Barta became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. László Nemes was the one to do the kick off. If Fabian Reynardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th minute, Les Tigres's Victor Steven ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ábel Barta. Ábel Barta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. A collision led to Les Tigres getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Paulino Orixe hit a great ball. Martin Ostadar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from László Müller in the 62nd minute of the match. After 68 minutes Les Tigres's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was György Király who took care of the corner kick. In the 70th minute, Romulo Lizar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes Les Tigres got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Tabb. In the 76th minute of the match György Király shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Ostadar showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Martin Ostadar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from László Müller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Hungarian Olympic's László Nemes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Martin Ostadar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Les Tigres fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Les Tigres's Victor Steven looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Hungarian Olympic manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Les Tigres to win.
