In the 21st minute, László Nemes made a precise shot to the right of Andre Zurbuchen. Espen Steelers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. A collision led to Hungarian Olympic getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Sándor Buday hit a great ball. If Philipp Junod had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. Hungarian Olympic's Ábel Barta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harrison Muntwyler in the 45th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Harrison Muntwyler in the 47th minute of play forced Hungarian Olympic's goalkeeper Ábel Barta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Philipp Junod made a kick off. Espen Steelers's Philipp Junod suffered a fractured collar bone after 51 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Espen Steelers's Geordi Gerig was substituted for Philipp Junod. Andre Zurbuchen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by László Nemes in the 88th minute of play forced Espen Steelers's goalkeeper Andre Zurbuchen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harrison Muntwyler got free with Ábel Barta in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hungarian Olympic's Ábel Barta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geordi Gerig in the 95th minute of play. Espen Steelers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
