Bidari Ansola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ralondo Barboa having to interfere. Elorri Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 53 minutes, Benigno Torne mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monitor Huáscar and the AFC Viola Gigliati players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Ruperto Cendegui came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the AFC Viola Gigliati fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ruperto Cendegui couldn't finish the play. Monitor Huáscar's Leizarraga Ergueta was substituted for Jonathan Molino. Benigno Torne made in the 60th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Konstantinos Rivadeneyra immediately put the ball in play. Santio Marco's late challenge caught a Monitor Huáscar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciriaco Cañaveral in the 81st minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Ferman Basabe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, Ciriaco Cañaveral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferman Basabe was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Monitor Huáscar's Turi Larrategui was substituted for David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado. Mauro Risel hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match.
