Jonathan Molino might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gaspar Babul. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Molino ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when Barrio Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mete Chulets didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Eufemio Carmona. 14 minutes into the match, Barrio Norte FC's goalkeeper Gaspar Babul had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bidari Ansola. David-Adriano Rivadeneyra-Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 16 played minutes Barrio Norte FC got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Marileo. Ferman Basabe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Espejo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Telo Pongó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Basabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barrio Norte FC's Eufemio Carmona quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ovidio Varez, made in the 25th minute of the game. After 26th play minutes Telo Pongó shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Ferman Basabe and just under the crossbar into goal. Telo Pongó took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ferman Basabe. Ferman Basabe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Abel Espejo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ferman Basabe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. The supporters of Monitor Huáscar booed when Barrio Norte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Javier Millapan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Konstantinos Rivadeneyra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gaspar Babul made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bidari Ansola in the 39th minute of play. Ferman Basabe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telo Pongó in the 40th minute of the match. Ferman Basabe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Telo Pongó went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Konstantinos Rivadeneyra to make the kick off. When Odón Gurruchaga fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barrio Norte FC's protests and gave Odón Gurruchaga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 53rd minute, Odón Gurruchaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Abel Espejo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Basabe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monitor Huáscar's Humberto Sagasti was substituted for Ovidio Varez. Ferman Basabe was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Telo Pongó capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Telo Pongó really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Vasco Celerain got a throw-in 86 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Leizarraga Ergueta. The Monitor Huáscar supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Barrio Norte FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Barrio Norte FC.
