Dida Little made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Baltazar Rossi sent off a good shot on target. Ronaldão Lucas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Saraiva in the 15th minute of play. Ronaldão Lucas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serginho Arantes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Percy Capixaba kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Dida Little showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Carlos Castro in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Carlinhos Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Scarlet Speedster's Charles Moura slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dida Little. That made the score 1-0 after 30 minutes of play. Carlos Fernando Freire was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. After 32 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Scarlet Speedster! Ronaldão Lucas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Azevedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Dida Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when José Carlos Castro made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Scarlet Speedster getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Baltazar Rossi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Válbson Saraiva in the 53rd minute of play forced Scarlet Speedster's goalkeeper Ronaldão Lucas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ronaldão Lucas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabinho Queiroz's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Charles Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dida Little having to interfere. Serginho Arantes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Ronaldão Lucas made a huge save. Dida Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Carlos Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 71 minutes of play, Scarlet Speedster's Charles Moura made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dida Little was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dieguinho Campidelis hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Charles Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dida Little took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA booed when Scarlet Speedster was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kauan Valle didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, INTERNACIONAL DA BAHIA's Fabinho Queiroz got a free kick in the 95th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
