In the 12thth minute of the game Claudiu Becheanu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Szczecin's Aleksander Szpakowski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudiu Becheanu in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aleksander Szpakowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 17 minutes into the match, Marin Brătescu notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Pogoń Szczecin's Aleksander Szpakowski. Aleksander Szpakowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Mugurel Seţeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jakub Adamowicz in the 24th minute of the match. Horia Boerescu helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to The Valar getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Horia Boerescu hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Claudiu Becheanu was the one to do the kick off. Aleksander Szpakowski was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Claudiu Becheanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudiu Becheanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. When Horia Boerescu was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes had been played. After 58 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Horia Boerescu. Pogoń Szczecin's Feliks Jurgiel got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mugurel Seţeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Barciniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After 64 played minutes The Valar got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Coroian. Mugurel Seţeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Barciniak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mugurel Seţeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Barciniak, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 73 minutes, Tytus Scigan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pogoń Szczecin and the The Valar players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of The Valar booed when Pogoń Szczecin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tytus Scigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Valar's Marin Brătescu got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marin Brătescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Marin Brătescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Valar's supporters rose to their feet, but Marin Brătescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aleksander Szpakowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
