The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The crowd rose to their feet as Caton Rascon kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Severino Madureira. That made the score 1-0 in the 2 minute of play. 7 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Tony Dias came free, but Cugat Cardet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Severino Madureira was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Caton Rascon capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Caton Rascon really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Severino Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caton Rascon, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Caton Rascon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vanadio F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Caton Rascon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Arratia in the 19th minute of play forced CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE's goalkeeper Severino Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clemente Prestes's late challenge caught a Vanadio F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christian Arratia to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Caton Rascon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vanadio F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Kelemen Revilla hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Mauricio Abaunza hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Christian Arratia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 94 played minutes CAMPINAS FUTEBOL CLUBE got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho Ramalho. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vanadio F.C. had won after a very even match.
