The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Roy Bennet. Maciej Warka who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Georg Vallin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Barnaba Jaraczeski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Barnaba Jaraczeski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Georg Vallin made a huge save. When Protegéerna's Roy Bennet in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chelmza Team's goalie prevented a goal. After 19 minutes of play, Protegéerna's Roy Bennet made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Michal Gniech was left in no man's land by his defense there! Georg Vallin was a little too slow when Barnaba Jaraczeski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-1. Chelmza Team's Barnaba Jaraczeski got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barnaba Jaraczeski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Georg Vallin made a huge save. 30 minutes into the game, Maciej Warka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chelmza Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Protegéerna the free kick. In the 31st match minute, Chelmza Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Warka to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fredrik Billberg during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Fredrik Billberg hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 35th play minute Barnaba Jaraczeski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Georg Vallin. 2-1. When Erling Skarkman fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Protegéerna's protests and gave Erling Skarkman a yellow card for diving instead. Erling Skarkman kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Chelmza Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pawel Gall to maneuver through the defense. Filip Kanczuszewski kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Michal Gniech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olof Löfkvist in the 48th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roy Bennet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Protegéerna's Roy Bennet got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Barnaba Jaraczeski sped through Protegéerna's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Georg Vallin. Roy Bennet might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Michal Gniech. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roy Bennet ran back to his position shaking his head. Roy Bennet could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Michal Gniech made a huge save. Georg Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Jaraczeski, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bo-Erik Springfält got free with Michal Gniech in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erling Skarkman hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Protegéerna made a substitution. Börge Arenberg replaced Alexander Lundström. The supporters of Chelmza Team booed when Protegéerna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erling Skarkman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes in the game Pawel Gall did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Olgierd Przybyciel. Bo-Erik Springfält charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bo-Erik Springfält the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 81 played minutes Protegéerna got a freekick which was hit by Bo-Erik Springfält. Georg Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Barnaba Jaraczeski, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Oscar Löfgren hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Chelmza Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Waclaw Zawadzki to maneuver through the defense. Chelmza Team's Michal Gniech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olof Löfkvist in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Barnaba Jaraczeski made a precise shot to the right of Georg Vallin. Protegéerna's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. Barnaba Jaraczeski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georg Vallin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Chelmza Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maciej Czerniejewski to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Protegéerna's Henning Blomberg got a free kick in the 96th minute. It was beautiful to see Chelmza Team's Pawel Gall in action when he in the 97th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Protegéerna's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
