The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, Glasgow Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Comunardo Zollino to maneuver through the defense. In the 5th match minute, Börna Bulldogs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesper Ahlqvist to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Aldo Marzoli in the 6th minute really tested David Lindell's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Josef Gallin's late challenge caught a Glasgow Rangers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Gallin helped the player get up and apologised. Josef Gallin hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Eraldo Monaco came free with the goalkeeper in the 12th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and David Lindell could save by the left post. David Lindell was a little too slow when Comunardo Zollino got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 13th minute. The score was now 1-0. David Lindell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ferdinando Di Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Eraldo Monaco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of David Lindell. Börna Bulldogs's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eraldo Monaco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 28th minute, Eraldo Monaco made a precise shot to the right of David Lindell. Börna Bulldogs's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Eraldo Monaco in the 31stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of David Lindell, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Aldo Marzoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. David Lindell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Börna Bulldogs's David Lindell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Börna Bulldogs from getting a goal against them. Börna Bulldogs's David Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eraldo Monaco in the 40th minute of play. David Lindell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aldo Marzoli in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to Glasgow Rangers FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Franco Ferrini hit a great ball. In the 45th minute, Aldo Marzoli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Glasgow Rangers FC's Amerigo Di Croce was substituted for Fabiano Passerini. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eraldo Monaco to make the kick off. Kjell-Arne Sander kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute of the match Dario Del Monaco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Lindell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 58 played minutes Börna Bulldogs got a freekick which was hit by Jesper Ahlqvist. Börna Bulldogs's David Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Paoletti in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Glasgow Rangers FC were awarded a corner. Dario Del Monaco went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Glasgow Rangers FC's Dario Del Monaco to fire away a dangerous shot which David Lindell despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 67 minutes of play, Glasgow Rangers FC's Alexander Paoletti made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Lindell was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Alexander Paoletti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Lindell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eraldo Monaco in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th minute Eraldo Monaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Lindell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Henrik Godholm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Lindell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Monaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Börna Bulldogs's goal looked a bit too open when Eraldo Monaco came free, but David Lindell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Börna Bulldogs's David Lindell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Paoletti in the 91st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Börna Bulldogs's Claes Stålberg got a free kick in the 94th minute. In the 95th minute of the match Dario Del Monaco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but David Lindell showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Glasgow Rangers FC fully deserved thier win.
