Pablo-Enrique Oribe was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 0-3 became the score in the 28th minute when Vicente Chaves elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Vicente Chaves took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pablo-Enrique Oribe. Pablo-Enrique Oribe dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 33rd minute, Naldo Guedes made a precise shot to the right of Pablo-Enrique Oribe. Playa Malvín's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Playa Malvín's Matthew McConaughey got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aloísio Vargas. After 41 played minutes Cruzeiro Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho Linhares. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Matxin Cadanes during the 47th minute. Matthew McConaughey's late challenge caught a Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a little luck, Playa Malvín's Pablo-Enrique Oribe got control of the ball when Vicente Chaves tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Jaen Marroquin got a free kick in the 76th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Vicente Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Vicente Chaves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo-Enrique Oribe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 82nd minute, Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's Vicente Chaves ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Pablo-Enrique Oribe. Pablo-Enrique Oribe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Fábio Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo-Enrique Oribe having to interfere. Ramón Barbosa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pablo-Enrique Oribe came out and tried to block the shot, but Ramón Barbosa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-9 in the 86th minute. The supporters of Cruzeiro Esporte Clube booed when Playa Malvín was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the match was over Cruzeiro Esporte Clube could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Playa Malvín throughout the match.
