Christer Moberg charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christer Moberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Real Södertälje getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Christer Moberg hit a great ball. Bennvar Buffon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Meti Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 25th match minute, Real Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruperto Eyague to maneuver through the defense. Brian Örnberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Nacho Gonzalez made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Meti Gol in the 38th minute of play forced Real Södertälje's goalkeeper Bennvar Buffon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bennvar Buffon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meti Gol in the 45th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Meti Gol made the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Real Racing Club defense, Brian Örnberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. The Real Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nacho Gonzalez should have stopped the shot. Emiliano Henry might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bennvar Buffon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Emiliano Henry ran back to his position shaking his head. Real Racing Club's Nacho Gonzalez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Örnberg in the 83rd minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Real Södertälje's goal looked a bit too open when Erling Jering came free, but Bennvar Buffon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Real Södertälje fans cheered their team off the field, for while Real Racing Club had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
