After taking down the ball on Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's corner Germano Domingues fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gerard Barth quite easily take care of the ball. Uetendorf Wanderers's Gerard Barth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Falcão Nóbrega in the 14th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Joélson Donatello notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Uetendorf Wanderers's Gerard Barth. Gerard Barth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 28th minute Bernie Kuoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerard Barth made an important save on a dangerous shot by Falcão Nóbrega in the 34th minute. After a rather tough play, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's Naldo de Alcântara got a free kick in the 35th minute. When Falcão Nóbrega came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Rio Verde F.C CIMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Falcão Nóbrega couldn't finish the play. If Martin Heffliger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joélson Donatello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gerard Barth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute Martin Heffliger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Paulo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivo Pernambucano kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Jeker was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Rio Verde F.C CIMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Gilberto Jeker came free, but José Paulo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The coaching staff of Uetendorf Wanderers protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Beppe Clément had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Rio Verde F.C CIMZ a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Germano Domingues, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Uetendorf Wanderers's Gerard Barth. 2-0.
