A collision led to CE LAJEADENSE RS getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Mário Leme hit a great ball. Luisito Gelmiro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paulão Negri. CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paulão Negri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erling Jering in the 7th minute of play. Nacho Gonzalez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Váldson Berger who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Racing Club's Nacho Gonzalez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Real Racing Club's Luisito Gelmiro got a free kick in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Luís de Lara had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nacho Gonzalez. Real Racing Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luís de Lara was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Váldson Berger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Nacho Gonzalez made a huge save. Nacho Gonzalez made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Luís de Lara sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Real Racing Club's zone, Váldson Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal and Váldson Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Sergipano in the 39th minute of play. With a little luck, Real Racing Club's Nacho Gonzalez got control of the ball when Luís de Lara tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nacho Gonzalez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lauro Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. After 45 minutes, Luisito Gelmiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Racing Club and the CE LAJEADENSE RS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Real Racing Club's Luisito Gelmiro got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luís de Lara was the one to do the kick off. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Berger in the 52nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Dinei da Cunha got a free kick in the 56th minute. Emiliano Henry blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Paulão Negri having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Váldson Berger managed to get in a good position for a shot. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Váldson Berger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nacho Gonzalez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nacho Gonzalez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Berger in the 62nd minute of play. Paulão Negri made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Meti Gol sent off a good shot on target. Nacho Gonzalez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Luís de Lara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nacho Gonzalez having to make a save. Nacho Gonzalez came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by CE LAJEADENSE RS's Luís de Lara. But to his dismay, Luís de Lara quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nunez Larpe in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulão Negri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the game, Váldson Berger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Racing Club the free kick. In the 90th minute, Váldson Berger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 92 minutes into the match, Real Racing Club's Meti Gol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Paulão Negri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, CE LAJEADENSE RS's goalkeeper Paulão Negri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Meti Gol. Paulão Negri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erling Jering, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CE LAJEADENSE RS's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
