The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Arrecifes getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Danilo Quiroga hit a great ball. In the 7th minute Eulalio Ovando shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Vermudo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danilo Quiroga's late challenge caught a Kekambas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Quiroga helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Arrecifes booed when Kekambas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Osoro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Froilan Cutberto sped through Kekambas FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marco Pacorro. After a rather tough play, Arrecifes's Lisandro Geofredo got a free kick in the 21st minute. Baldomero Vermudo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Ovando in the 25th minute of the match. Paolo Reno got a throw-in 26 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Saverio Paul. Baldomero Vermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Saverio Paul, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Arrecifes's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Paio came free, but Baldomero Vermudo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30thth minute of the game Samuel Paio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arrecifes's Baldomero Vermudo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Froilan Cutberto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marco Pacorro came out and tried to block the shot, but Froilan Cutberto slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. Martin Quintana kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Esteban Lazcano's late challenge caught a Arrecifes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteban Lazcano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 41st match minute, Kekambas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esteban Lazcano to maneuver through the defense. Bernardo Abad fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 42nd minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Baldomero Vermudo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Paio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Baldomero Vermudo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Israel Osoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Dalmacio Honrio fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Froilan Cutberto struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Marco Pacorro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrecifes. Baldomero Vermudo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Osoro in the 93rd minute. Marco Pacorro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Froilan Cutberto went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Arrecifes had won after a very even match.
