The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Juan Pedro Chauriye mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Altermundi FC and the Chivos de Punto Fijo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Juan Pedro Chauriye hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luciano Carretero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lidon Bengoa in the 11th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Martin Pasqua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Aureliano Fariña recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Israel Ibáñez in the 20th minute of play forced Chivos de Punto Fijo's goalkeeper Martin Pasqua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Altermundi FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Juan Pedro Chauriye hit a great ball. In the 26th minute, Aureliano Fariña ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Martin Pasqua was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Chivos de Punto Fijo's Martin Pasqua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andolín Pumarino in the 31st minute of play. Altermundi FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Israel Ibáñez in the 32nd minute. Altermundi FC's Juan Pedro Chauriye was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Martin Pasqua in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Martin Pasqua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aureliano Fariña, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Altermundi FC's Aureliano Fariña got a free kick in the 36th minute. In the 43rd minute of the match Israel Ibáñez shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Pasqua showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Chivos de Punto Fijo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Altermundi FC were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gabriel Gay made a kick off. After 52 minutes of play, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Lidon Bengoa made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Luciano Carretero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Agustin Guisasola lost his temper 56 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 56th minute, one of Chivos de Punto Fijo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Chivos de Punto Fijo. Martin Pasqua had in the 58thth minute some difficulties stopping Israel Ibáñez's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Martin Pasqua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Israel Ibáñez in the 59th minute. Israel Ibáñez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute, Aureo Ubeda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Xacobo Valdovinos fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altermundi FC's protests and gave Xacobo Valdovinos a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Altermundi FC's Xacobo Valdovinos got a free kick in the 66th minute. Altermundi FC's Luciano Carretero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lidon Bengoa in the 66th minute of play. Rosalio Azpiazu hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aureliano Fariña in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Martin Pasqua saved Chivos de Punto Fijo from getting behind. A collision led to Altermundi FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Juan Pedro Chauriye hit a great ball. Chivos de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Ilazki Zumalburu replaced Paulino Alfebra. Chivos de Punto Fijo made a substitution. Jeronimo Corrales replaced Gabriel Gay. Juan Pedro Chauriye hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 86th match minute, Altermundi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abel Mandiola to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes, Chivos de Punto Fijo's Ulizes Maquibar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Luciano Carretero came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chivos de Punto Fijo reached it. Lidon Bengoa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Luciano Carretero. Altermundi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The Altermundi FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Chivos de Punto Fijo from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
