Şadi Cihaner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Blond, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. In the 30th minute of the match Le Stade Briochin UC got a corner. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joey Techer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a defensive mix-up in Le Stade Briochin UC's zone, Ferman Sabri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jérémy Coutier came out of the goal and Ferman Sabri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erzincan MustafaKemalPaşa were furious when Asım Arif Nazır was red carded, 36 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests.
