With a left leg Nevada Maderos saved Borussia Dortmund from getting behind. Roderick Watson hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Connor Benitez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Filipe Zaballos in the 26th minute of the match. If Mohammed Lloyd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Racing Miami Futbol Club's Jose Carnes was substituted for Alfonzo Wolfe. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Duardo Bolantin was the one to do the kick off. Racing Miami Futbol Club's Connor Benitez proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Racing Miami Futbol Club from getting a goal against them. If Valdo Manurga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Nevada Maderos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Jose Carnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the game, Flor Orbaneja was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racing Miami Futbol Club the free kick. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Flor Orbaneja hit a great ball. The supporters of Racing Miami Futbol Club booed when Borussia Dortmund was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sotil Cerdeño didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed Lloyd in the 92nd minute of play forced Borussia Dortmund's goalkeeper Nevada Maderos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute Mohammed Lloyd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nevada Maderos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Racing Miami Futbol Club had won after a very even match.
