The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Celso Vieira got a free kick in the 9th minute. 9 minutes into the game, Romulo Harriet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Juan Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Teodoro Gentza hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. After 13 minutes, Teodoro Gentza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DESTROY and the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, DESTROY's Teodoro Gentza got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute Benjamim Vargas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Tello saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Juan Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Munio in the 19th minute of the match. Eloy Jakobe kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eurico França got free with Hernan Tello in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, Jonas Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juan Azevedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogelio Munio in the 26th minute of the match. Romulo Harriet hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Rolando Ubarna kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Benjamim Vargas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hernan Tello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nova Erechim - FSCMZ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Hernan Tello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Vieira was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Celso Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 52nd match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Gentza to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Tello stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eurico França's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. The audience was convinced that Eurico França's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Tello was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. DESTROY's Hernan Tello played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Silva in the 65th minute of play. Eurico França struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Hernan Tello didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Erechim - FSCMZ. 71 minutes into the game, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Eurico França nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hernan Tello made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. In the 76th match minute, DESTROY was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marciano Salvino to maneuver through the defense. Hernan Tello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico França, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 86th match minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Chaves to maneuver through the defense. Hílton Guedes's late challenge caught a DESTROY's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hílton Guedes helped the player get up and apologised. After 88 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Hílton Guedes. DESTROY's Eloy Jakobe shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 89th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Juan Azevedo but with some difficulty. A collision led to Nova Erechim - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jonas Silva hit a great ball. Tony Custódio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
