In the 4th match minute, Nusnäs IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jens-Ove Lingren to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Nova Erechim - FSCMZ booed when Nusnäs IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Isaksson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benjamim Vargas struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Viktor Wallin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nova Erechim - FSCMZ. 12 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico França came free, but Viktor Wallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Juan Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Ersman, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Zé Roberto Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Viktor Wallin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico França in the 19th minute of play. After 20 minutes Nusnäs IF's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Neymar Santos who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Neymar Santos got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Viktor Wallin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 26 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Juan Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Lägdin. Viktor Wallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamim Vargas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th match minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamim Vargas to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Juan Azevedo got control of the ball when George Ersman tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Nusnäs IF's goal looked a bit too open when Eurico França came free, but Viktor Wallin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's Eurico França, in the 38th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Nova Erechim - FSCMZ. Viktor Wallin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tony Custódio went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 43 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Juan Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Michael Lägdin. Celso Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Celso Vieira. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jens-Ove Lingren made a kick off. In the 50th minute, Marlon Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nusnäs IF's Viktor Wallin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eurico França in the 59th minute of play. In the 65th minute Jens-Ove Lingren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Azevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orvar Andberg struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Juan Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nusnäs IF. After 78 minutes, Michael Isaksson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nusnäs IF and the Nova Erechim - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nusnäs IF! When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Jonas Silva took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Viktor Wallin to make any attempt to save it. 91 minutes into the game, Eurico França recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Viktor Wallin. Eurico França showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 95th minute, Reine Lundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viktor Wallin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico França in the 96th minute. The Nova Erechim - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nova Erechim - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
