The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Anacleto Urdaspal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of C.U.E. DE COMERCIO protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Anacleto Urdaspal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in C.U.E. DE COMERCIO fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 51st minute. Penalty! DE COMERCIO's Cayetano Dantae played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hermínio de Queirós in the 68th minute of play. DE COMERCIO's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio de Queirós came free, but Cayetano Dantae reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tore-Andre Flø in the 94th minute of play forced Palestra do Interior's goalkeeper Antônio Carlos Cavalcante to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
