The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anıl Arda Dahi during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Mijdrecht Maffia booed when SARI ZEYBEK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anıl Arda Dahi didn't get a good kick on the ball. A nice corner shot did that Toni Stühling got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ali Atıf Aktan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 21st minute, Güney Dokuzoğlu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emiel van der Gun was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 25th minute of the match, Fevzi Oyal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Emiel van der Gun saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 32 minutes into the match, Mijdrecht Maffia's goal looked a bit too open when Batu Özdeğer came free, but Emiel van der Gun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emiel van der Gun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fevzi Oyal in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. In the 85th minute Ufuk Sami shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiel van der Gun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Douwe van den Bergh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
