Cido Furlan scored 2-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Donato Valle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Geovanni Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Queluzito's Felippe Fonseca got a free kick in the 71st minute. When Giuliano David fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villaverde Celeste Clube's protests and gave Giuliano David a yellow card for diving instead. Giuliano David hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute, Raimundo Monteiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Queluzito fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. 82 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Villaverde Celeste Clube's Frederico Godoi fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 85th minute, Cido Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmir Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frederico Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Donato Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Queluzito players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Villaverde Celeste Clube.
