In the 6th minute, Ulric Donsante got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th match minute, FC Lugano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Buser to maneuver through the defense. After 11 played minutes, SORRISO E. C.'s Cláudio Couto shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Max Sevier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SORRISO E. C. reached it. Max Sevier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Bueno in the 14th minute of play. Max Sevier came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Alberto Mendonça. But to his dismay, Alberto Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Diederich in the 24th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tade Zeller hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Max Sevier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Odysseus De Souza in the 36th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Douglas Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florian Diederich, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, SORRISO E. C.'s Rodrigo Penha got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 39th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Penha to maneuver through the defense. Douglas Viana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fedor Adler went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Douglas Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiziano Gamache, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Mendonça made a kick off. SORRISO E. C.'s Douglas Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florian Diederich in the 53rd minute of play. Cláudio Couto's late challenge caught a FC Lugano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Couto helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th match minute, SORRISO E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cláudio Couto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Diederich in the 56th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Odysseus De Souza scored 2-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Douglas Viana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But to his dismay, Florian Diederich quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Raphael Peixoto hit a great ball. Douglas Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guido Emennegger in the 75th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, FC Lugano's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Mendonça came free, but Max Sevier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Pereira in the 79th minute of play forced FC Lugano's goalkeeper Max Sevier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 played minutes FC Lugano got a freekick which was hit by Florian Diederich. Max Sevier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. SORRISO E. C.'s Douglas Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiziano Gamache in the 82nd minute of play. Douglas Viana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tiziano Gamache in the 84th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Florian Diederich in the 87th minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Douglas Viana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Couto hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Fidelio Haller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Douglas Viana having to make a save. FC Lugano's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
