The supporters of Jovens Democratas MZC booed when FC Lugano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximilian Buser didn't get a good kick on the ball. FC Lugano were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Jovens Democratas MZC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximilian Buser took the corner. In the 82nd minute Odysseus De Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led FC Lugano's Maximilian Buser to fire away a dangerous shot which Luiz Fernando Silva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The FC Lugano players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
