But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edgar Buys couldn't finish the play. Edgar Buys blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Algot Ennegren having to make a save. Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brain Diest in the 12th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Linghed Angels FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Buys came free, but Algot Ennegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Linghed Angels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nils-Åke Vibjörnsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Algot Ennegren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brain Diest, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ágætis Byrjun's Ab Veenema proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Ágætis Byrjun from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Linghed Angels FC booed when Ágætis Byrjun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Diest didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Michael Säfström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edgard Ax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Buys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Linghed Angels FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Yngve Kollberg hit a great ball. In the 44th minute of the match Edgar Buys shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Algot Ennegren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Algot Ennegren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgard Ax, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when Linghed Angels FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Kaxe didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Felix Brander made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lucien Daems hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brain Diest in the 60th minute of play. Edgar Buys fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Ennegren having to interfere. Linghed Angels FC's Yngve Mårtensson was substituted for Olof Kaxe. With a little luck, Linghed Angels FC's Algot Ennegren got control of the ball when Edgar Buys tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Niclas Vase had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brain Diest kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Ágætis Byrjun's Ab Veenema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Michael Säfström in the 72nd minute of play. In the 80th minute, Herman Rosen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Reinhard Gronden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the game, Michael de Kort was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ágætis Byrjun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Linghed Angels FC the free kick. Michael de Kort hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ab Veenema showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Niclas Vase in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Ágætis Byrjun left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Linghed Angels FC.
