The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sjoerd Ottenhof hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Brain Diest received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Ojat Daryana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 9 Lurah's Ojat Daryana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save 9 Lurah from getting a goal against them. 8 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goal looked a bit too open when Galih Sofyan came free, but Ab Veenema reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galih Sofyan struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Ab Veenema didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 9 Lurah. Ab Veenema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cliff Fingkreuw in the 13th minute of play. Galih Sofyan struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Ab Veenema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cornel Kuswoyo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes Ágætis Byrjun's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulus Rusandi who took care of the corner kick. Umar Rumba was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Galih Sofyan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ab Veenema read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Cornel Kuswoyo kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 30 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Robin Willemsen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galih Sofyan in the 32nd minute of play forced Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Ab Veenema to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ojat Daryana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brain Diest, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. 35 minutes into the match, 9 Lurah's Cliff Fingkreuw sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ab Veenema narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patar Manuputty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Galih Sofyan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 9 Lurah's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ágætis Byrjun the free kick. Galih Sofyan kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edgar Buys stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56thth minute of the game Galih Sofyan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ágætis Byrjun's Ab Veenema was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 58 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Lucien Daems. After 60 played minutes Ágætis Byrjun got a freekick which was hit by Robin Willemsen. 62 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Ab Veenema had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Patar Manuputty. Galih Sofyan kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes 9 Lurah got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Habibie. 9 Lurah's Steven Al-Faruqi was substituted for Patar Manuputty. The supporters of Ágætis Byrjun booed when 9 Lurah was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Habibie didn't get a good kick on the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's Edgar Buys broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Ab Veenema showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Galih Sofyan, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th match minute, 9 Lurah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steven Al-Faruqi to maneuver through the defense. Cliff Fingkreuw took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ab Veenema. Ab Veenema dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Edgar Buys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Galih Sofyan hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Ab Veenema made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Steven Al-Faruqi sent off a good shot on target. Ágætis Byrjun's Ab Veenema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cliff Fingkreuw in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Steven Al-Faruqi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgar Buys received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Ojat Daryana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 9 Lurah eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
